In Andy’s office, Jason tells him he hears that the Hotshot folks are dealing V they plan a big raid, but Crystal is horrified, and says that her kin can’t be introduced into the system. Andy thinks someone lured Kevin into a trap. Jason learns about Kevin when he checks in at the Sheriff’s Office. hmmm, that sounds like the kind of damage that can be inflicted by some sort of animal. Poor deputy Kevin answers the call and nearly gets killed. They leave him tied up with a bagful of V on the side of the road, then call the cops.

Crystal leaves Felton for Jason, then goes back to Felton and tells him that Jason kidnapped and raped her, then when Jason confronts Felton, Crystal knocks Felton out and gives Jason very specific instructions on how to tie him up. The Jason-Crystal storyline is not working for me at all. I predict there's going to be a lot of eye-rolling when he finally lets us in on the secret. Sookie returns home, and when Bill comes over that night, he tells her he has discovered what she is. Sookie has a telepathic conversation with the boy, which freaks out Hadley, and she flees with him. She admits she told Sophie-Anne about Sookie's telepathy, and that Russell knows about it, too, which is why Sookie is not safe. The boy's father apparently has custody, but Hadley tells Sookie that she needs to know if the boy has Sookie's gift/curse, because if he does, then she's got to protect the boy from Russell. There, she introduces Sookie to her son – it's unclear whether Sookie even knew she had a son or not. Meanwhile, after some routine body disposal, Sookie gets a call from her cousin Hadley, who asks her to meet her in Monroe. Claudine says that she has been protecting Sookie, but Bill tells her that Sookie needs to know what she is so she can protect herself. She exercises that same flashy-light-hand-thing that Sookie has done on a couple of occasions. She thinks he's killed Sookie, and though he denies it, there is something so appealing about Claudine that he can't help himself from trying to bite her. And because Bill consumed so much of Sookie's blood, he was able to pass over into the Eden Sookie visited a couple of episodes back, where he meets Claudine. Sookie and Bill clean up in the shower after consummating their reunion it was a very, very bloody reunion.
"We will eat you, after we eat your children," he concludes. Oopsies! The episode closes with Nan watching in horror as Russell kills the anchorman and rants on national television about how, despite what the American Vampire League wants you to believe, vampires are killers, superior to humans, and don't need no stinking vampire rights amendment.
(So did the Magister, until Russell killed him, which is what is Nan is doing in Louisiana in the first place.) Later, she tells Eric that The Authority wants him to get rid of Russell on the QT, lest he cause some major public relations problems just as the Vampire Rights Amendment is poised for ratification. We are also introduced to yet another layer of vampire bureaucracy called The Authority, for whom Nan works. Russell, with his small army of vampire blood-drinking Weres, inserts himself into the affairs of men during times of conflict so he can stop humans from destroying themselves? And now that there is Tru Blood, he doesn't feel he needs to try to co-exist with human any longer? Huh? Nan (who favors black leather, a smoky eye and a cadre of very silly-looking vampire stormtroopers in her down time) is not buying it. I'm on board with Eric's 1,000-years-in-the-making decision to off Talbot to get back at Russell for killing his family, and for coming clean to Vampire Rights League figurehead Nan Flanagan about it, although his exposition about Russell's nefarious plans didn't really make much sense.
